• Account information: Your name, email address, and password when you create an account.
• Athlete profiles: Names, birth dates, sport, and team information for athletes you add to the app.
• Game and practice data: Scores, stats, mood reflections, and notes you log for events.
• Photos and videos: Images and videos you upload for profiles, events, or memory books.
• Voice reflections: Audio recordings you submit for post-game reflections, which are transcribed and processed.
• Usage data: How you use the app (features accessed, actions taken) to improve the experience.
• Device information: Basic device identifiers and crash reports to help us fix bugs.

How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

• Provide and maintain the Playbook Memories app experience.
• Generate personalized features like badges, memory books, and post-game encouragement.
• Process voice reflections using third-party AI services (OpenAI) for transcription and analysis.
• Enable family members (parents, grandparents, extended family) to view athlete activities based on permissions you set.
• Send you notifications about badges, endorsements, and app updates.
• Improve the app and fix technical issues.

Social Features and Data Sharing

Playbook Memories includes social features where:

• You can follow other families and athletes to see their public activities.
• You can nominate athletes for badges (visible to their family).
• Your athlete's profile (name, photo, team) may be visible to families you follow or who follow you.
• Activity feed shows events from families you follow.
• You control your family's privacy settings and can manage followers.

We do not share your family's data with third parties for advertising or marketing purposes.

Third-Party Services

We use the following third-party services to operate the app:

• Supabase: Secure database hosting and user authentication.
• OpenAI: Voice transcription and AI-generated encouragement content.
• Replicate: Photo enhancement and AI image processing.
• Sentry: Crash reporting and error tracking.
• Expo / EAS: App building, distribution, and over-the-air updates.

These services process data according to their own privacy policies. We do not sell your data to any third party.

Children's Privacy

Playbook Memories is designed for use by parents and guardians of youth athletes. You must be at least 18 years old to create an account. Athlete profiles are created and managed by parents or guardians. We do not knowingly collect personal information directly from children under 13.

If we discover that a child under 13 has provided us with personal information without parental consent, we will delete such information immediately. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us at support@playbookmemories.com.

Data Storage and Security

Your data is stored securely using Supabase with row-level security policies that ensure you can only access your own family's data. We use industry-standard encryption for data in transit and at rest.

Your Rights

You can:

• Access and update your personal information through the app settings.
• Delete your account and associated data by contacting us.
• Request a copy of your data by contacting us.
• Opt out of certain data collection features.

Data Retention

We retain your data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we will remove your personal data within 30 days, except where required by law.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this privacy policy from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes through the app or by email. Continued use of the app after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of those changes.
